Rayman Legends Retold has been delayed and will now release on December 3, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC, per the Rayman Legends Retold social media accounts.
While the game has officially gone gold, the development team says it is taking additional time to give every detail the care it deserves. Ubisoft’s official game page also lists the updated release date and platforms.
AdvertisementThe announcement doesn’t identify specific issues behind the delay or explain what the team plans to address before launch. For fans waiting to get their hands on the game, that means a longer wait, but more footage and impressions are coming soon.
Ubisoft has mentioned that a “Game Overview trailer” will arrive on September 22, giving players another look at what the team has been working on. At the same time, select creators and press will also share fresh hands-on impressions that same day, so we should get a better idea of how Rayman Legends Retold is shaping up ahead of its December release.
AdvertisementStill, this is a bit disappointing, as the delay moves the game into the month now known as “after Grand Theft Auto VI is released.” With Rockstar’s next game scheduled for November 19, 2026, that puts Rayman’s return just two weeks later. Giving the developers more time is understandable, but that timing could cause some havoc with potential sales if players are still spending their time and money on GTA VI.
Hopefully, Rayman can find its audience amid all that attention, because that’s a tough release window to land in.
