If you didn’t think that 007 First Light was pretty enough, IO Interactive have just released an update that will make it even prettier. The path tracing and DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction update aims to make the game even more cinematic with extra-detailed lighting, shadows and reflections.

Per the team at IO Interactive, “With this update, the game’s visuals are now fully path-traced, maximizing frame rates and image quality on GeForce RTX PCs and laptops. The update builds on IO Interactive’s ongoing collaboration with NVIDIA GeForce, first unveiled in January 2026 alongside 007 First Light’s official PC specifications. For the game, IO Interactive significantly advanced its proprietary Glacier engine, evolving it to support the game’s cinematic tone, dynamic action, and breathtaking set pieces, with enhancements spanning more expressive character performances and environments that feel alive and breathing.”

This latest update is not the only reason that 007 First Light has made news this week. The Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game was due launch this summer but has now been pushed back to March 2027. Read more on that here.

If you’ve not played the game yet, now is a great time to grab a copy, as it is currently running a 20% discount on Xbox, PlayStation and Steam.
