Join Now!Announced on stage at Blizzcon, Diablo V is coming. It’s the next mainline entry in the franchise, and Sanctuary has fallen. Check out the short teaser trailer below!
For three decades, Sanctuary has stood on the edge of oblivion, and we’ve managed to push the darkness back… until now. The next era of Diablo is now in development.
Revealed during the BlizzCon 2026 Opening Ceremony, Diablo V takes players into a Sanctuary that has fallen. The heroes are gone, and Diablo has won.
“Sanctuary has fallen, and Diablo has won” say Joe Shelly. “For the first time, you won’t be fighting to stop Diablo from taking Sanctuary, you’ll enter a world where he already has. There are no towns or safe places waiting to protect you.”
That changes everything,” says Tiffany Wat- “How you survive, what powers you’re willing to claim, and what you’re willing to sacrifice. At the heart of Diablo V is the simple question – ‘What must you become when the world has already fallen?'”
Aarsal, our man on the ground at Blizzcon 2026, captured the crowds reaction. Suffice it to say, they went nuts – again. Check it out below.
It’s pretty bold to see another date from Blizzard here. First the Starcraft announce, and now this? They’re really going all out.
